U.S. DOT Office of the Secretary
Essential Air Service (subsidized flights)
Every small-airport community where DOT pays an airline to keep flights going: airline, hubs served, aircraft, yearly subsidy, and contract dates, in reports from 2020 to now (lower 48, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and Alaska). Plus the $200-per-passenger limit reports (FY2015–FY2019), miles to the nearest big hub, the list of eligible communities, communities that lost service since 1989, and program funding since 1979.
How we use this · on 3 desks
“Does this town keep its flights, and what does it cost?”
Where you'll see it

- AI & Spreadsheets: at Level 3, link it into Excel or Google Sheets, download it, or ask your AI assistant about it
What we added
- Each community placed in its county, including towns that lost service since 1989
- Every report month kept side by side, so subsidy and airline changes show over time
